ROBERT R. “BOB” COOK, born Nov. 24, 1931 in Ute, IA. Entered the service December 1950. Attended Instructor School in San Diego August – October 1966 and Coronado for boat training. Served in Vietnam with RIVDIV 593 for six months and (RPN 61) Vietnamese advisor for one year.
His memorable experience was being with NIOTC from October 1966 – January
1970 and with Lt. Boehm and Chief Penn. He will never forget his duty as
Vietnamese advisor and being on the rivers for four or five days at a time.
He is married to Marie.
